Tré

Tré is a Fine Art Photographer and Painter currently based out of Northern Virginia and NYC. Using passion and creativity, she shapes unique self-contained worlds with color and composition that tell a story with each image; stories born from dreams and imagination.

Inspired by collecting moments, she began taking photos at the early age of three. Moving forward, with a camera in one hand and a paint brush in the other, her artistic skills began to expand and take shape. Influenced by the human form and old master paintings, she experimented with acrylics and charcoal to study anatomy and the art of figure drawing. These experiments also led her down the path of commissioned illustrations, comic, and storyboard art.

With her painter’s eye, she came full circle and returned her focus on Portrait Photography in 1998 founding her own Art Photography company, Tré Inc.
For over a decade she has exhibited and sold her selected works to private collectors internationally. Having worked in NYC, LA, DC, and Tokyo her inspirations are diverse and ever-changing. In recent years she has Directed the Art and Photography for Theaters, Music Videos, and Films. Her latest work is currently on exhibition at the Touchstone Gallery in Washington, DC.

Artist Statement

“Whether I am weaving an intricate tapestry of stories or capturing a dream within reality, when creating my main intention is to expose the art inside and all around us. Beauty is everywhere and in everyone. Through my eyes we are all living paintings and life is a work of art.

Art Photography gives me the freedom to bring my imagination to life. I see the images I want to create in my mind, often in the form of dreams even before I begin my process. My background as a fine art painter has given me an idiosyncratic approach to photographing and editing my chosen subjects. Escapism has become my vocation of choice. I like to construct environments that sweep the viewer away to another place or time, to create a break in the mundane, to offer a visual reprieve from everyday life. Balance plays an integral part in my work; you’ll find it in my color combinations, composition, and in my play of reality verses fantasy. Discovering the right recipe of elements to formulate a scene, appearing to be as real as it does fanciful, is a delightful challenge that I embrace. You’ll find within my work a hint of the familiar and attainable. . . that lies just beyond reach."
